This workshop is a great opportunity to learn how to move your shoulders in a way that increases their strength and integrity, as well as release tension round this area of the body.
Using a variety of yoga poses and techniques, Day will guide you with practical ways of releasing tension, creating space, mobility as stabilising and strengthening your shoulder girdle.
Through observing Day’s exceptional practice, you will leave the workshop with the tools to help you maintain the health and wellbeing in the neck and shoulders.
Day Christensen is a Level II Authorised Teacher from the K. Patthabi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute (KPJAYI) in Mysore, India. She practises in the lineage of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, having completed the Intermediate series and learned the Third series under R. Sharath Jois’s guidance.
Day’s teachings are born from her own disciplined and dedicated practice. She encourages students to challenge themselves physically, whilst at the same time, be easy mentally.
She spends much of her year travelling internationally to teach at yoga studios around the world, and we’re very fortunate to have Day visit us for this special weekend of workshops. Her wisdom, passion for the practice, and vast anatomy and philosophy knowledge will guide us for months after she leaves us to return to her Miami studio and worldwide adventures.
